Qigong

During the summer there is an opportunity to try different types of training at The Garden Society of Gothenburg. Some Fridays between 11-12 you can take part in Qigong on the lawn in front of the Palm House. The class is free of charge so it is perfect for if you want to try something new. 💚 Qigong is an ancient Chinese training form. Simply put, Qigong means "to move energy". I have now tested Qigong on two occasions and like it very much. It gives both time for self-compassion and mindfulness. I feel pleasantly calm and happy afterwards. Barefoot we stand with our feet in the grass with a good grounded contact. đŸŒ± The Qigong class has soft and slow repetitive movements where you work with mindful breathing. I achieve a nice flow where I can land in my body and slow down my thoughts. There is no talking and no music, but I really like the silence and the sense of it. Towards the end, we practise balance and concentration followed by self-massage, where you massage the entire body from head to toe. One of the main goals of self-massage is to balance the energy and to promote the body's healing ability. It has been found that Qigong has a reducing effect on stress-related symptoms. Perhaps more people would benefit from doing more of inner and calmer exercise every now and then. It was nice to see that almost everyone could join Qigong, old and young. There were also chairs if you wanted to sit and do the exercises instead. This Friday, July 27th, is the last Qigong Friday before it returns again on Friday week 35-37. Perhaps you also want to  take it a bit slower this summer? 🙏

Under sommaren finns det möjlighet att prova olika trĂ€ningsformer i TrĂ€dgĂ„rdsföreningen i Göteborg. NĂ„gra fredagar kl. 11-12 körs Qigong pĂ„ grĂ€smattan framför Palmhuset. Passet Ă€r kostnadsfritt sĂ„ det Ă€r perfekt om du vill prova pĂ„ nĂ„got nytt. 💚 Qigong Ă€r en urĂ„ldrig kinesisk trĂ€ningsform. Enkelt översatt kan man sĂ€ga att Qigong betyder "att flytta energi". Jag har nu testat Qigong vid tvĂ„ tillfĂ€llen och tycker vĂ€ldigt mycket om den. Den ger bĂ„de tid för sjĂ€lvkĂ€rlek och mindfulness. Jag kĂ€nner mig skönt lugn och glad efterĂ„t. Barfota stĂ„r vi med vĂ„ra fötter i grĂ€set med god jordad kontakt.đŸŒ± Qigongpasset har mjuka och lĂ„ngsamma repetitiva rörelser dĂ€r man jobbar med den medvetna andningen. Ett skönt flow dĂ€r jag kan landa i kroppen och bromsa in mina tankar. Inget prat och ingen musik förekommer, men jag gillar verkligen tystnaden och kĂ€nslan. Mot slutet övar vi vĂ„r balans och koncentration följt av sjĂ€lvmassage, dĂ„ man masserar igenom hela kroppen frĂ„n huvud till fot. En av mĂ„lsĂ€ttningarna med sjĂ€lvmassagen Ă€r att balansera energin och frĂ€mja kroppens lĂ€kningsförmĂ„ga. Det har visat sig att Qigong har en dĂ€mpande effekt pĂ„ bland annat stressrelaterade symtom. Kanske fler mĂ€nniskor skulle mĂ„ bra av att göra en inre och lugnare trĂ€ning dĂ„ och dĂ„. Det var fint att se att nĂ€stan alla kunde vara med pĂ„ Qigong, gammal som ung. Det fanns Ă€ven stolar om man ville sitta och utföra övningarna istĂ€llet. Nu pĂ„ fredag den 27 juli Ă€r det den sista Qigong-fredagen innan den Ă„terkommer igen fredag vecka 35-37. Kanske vill du ocksĂ„ ta det lite lugnare i sommar? 🙏
