Beautiful in every way / Vackert på alla sätt

Sometimes you get days that are beautiful in every way. Such happiness it is to experience a Sunday in September while the summer is still around. A perfect day for a small trip. We have decided to visit Gunnebo House and Gardens that with bus from Gothenburg takes about 15 minutes to reach. As I enter the Gunnebo House environment, I immediately get a wow-feeling. Here it is beautiful like a dream and there is so much to look at of this 17th century property, which is well preserved and well maintained. I smell the lavender on our way up to the House, the lovely smell of lavender is hard to beat. In the southern garden we sit down and enjoy the sun, the surroundings and our bag of tea and fruit. After that we take a walk around Gunnebo cultural reserve and watch the cows as they rest in the shade. On our way back we walk around the kitchen garden next to Gunnebo Coffee House and Restaurant, here grows vegetables, herbs and flowers among other things. The tomatoes smell just as good as they should do. We end the beautiful day here with an organic berry ice cream. My ice cream is made of raspberries and rose, maybe the best ice cream I've eaten. It tastes of both summer and sunshine. I want to return here one day and go on a guided tour of the House. There is so much to experience and something for everyone; flowers, animals, history, walking paths, café, art and much more. Gunnebo House and Gardens are open every day of the year and it only seems to get more beautiful over the years. 🙏

Ibland får man dagar som är vackra på alla sätt. Vilken lycka det är att få uppleva en söndag i september där sommaren fortfarande finns kvar. En perfekt dag för en utflykt. Vi har bestämt oss för att besöka Gunnebo Slott och Trädgårdar som med buss från Göteborg tar ca 15 minuter att nå. När jag kliver in i Gunnebo slotts miljö får jag genast en wow-känsla. Här är det vackert som en dröm och så mycket att titta på av denna 1700-talsegendom som är väl bevarad och väl skött. Jag luktar på lavendeln på vägen upp mot slottet, den härliga doften av lavendel är svårslagen. I den södra trädgården sätter vi oss och njuter utav solen, omgivningen och vår medhavda fika. Efter tar vi en promenad runt Gunnebo kulturreservat och tittar på korna som vilar i skuggan. På vår väg tillbaks går vi runt i köksträdgården bredvid Gunnebo Kaffehus och Krog, här växer bland annat grönsaker, kryddor och blommor. Tomaterna luktar precis så gott som de ska göra. Vi avslutar den vackra dagen här med en ekologisk bärglass. Min glass är gjord på hallon och ros, kanske den godaste glass jag ätit. Den smakar både sommar och solsken. Jag vill komma tillbaka hit och gå på en guidad slottsvisning en dag. Det finns så mycket att uppleva och något för alla; blommor, djur, historia, promenadstråk, café, konst och mycket mer. Gunnebo Slott och Trädgårdar är öppet varje dag året runt och här verkar det bara bli vackrare med åren. 🙏
